4 Tips to Develop a Great Working Relationship with Your New Jersey Roofing Contractor

Anyone who hires a New Jersey roofing contractor hopes for a successfully completed project, but not every homeowner understands what that requires. Poor communication between a contractor and client will cause nothing but delays, misunderstandings and hard feelings (you’ve probably heard plenty of horror stories about home improvement gone wrong). On the other hand, open lines of communication can get amazing results!

When both parties keep integrity and establish trust early on, your roofing project can be brought to completion with the most satisfying result. Here are our best tips on how to establish and maintain an excellent relationship with your contractor:

1. Communication, communication, communication! Be upfront with us from the start regarding your expectations and budget by communicating clearly with your sales consultant. If you have specific concerns about your house, its surroundings, scheduling or materials to be used, just let us know. And if you ever have a question or concern once the project starts, call right away.

2. Be realistic. Some aspects of a roofing project, such as bad weather and material delays, are beyond our control. When these instances do occur, try to be patient and understanding. We want to get your project back on track as soon as possible, too!

3. Trust your professional. We hope you’ve researched our company prior to signing a contract, and you can trust us to get the job done right. Keep in mind that noise and dirt are the means to an end: a well-constructed roof that will protect your family for decades.

4. Pay promptly. Honor all payment agreements once the work has been completed to your satisfaction. If an expectation has not been met, please contact us right away and we will do our best to work it out.

Up and Above Contractors would like to thank homeowners in Sussex, Warren and Morris counties for entrusting us with your homes, and for recommending us to your friends and neighbors. We strive to the best local company you’ll ever hire! Call us today at (973) 300-0636 to put our experience to work for you and your home.
