Why Single-Ply Membranes are a Wise Choice for New Jersey Flat Roofing

Up and Above Contractors is experienced in the installation of many types of commercial New Jersey roofing for flat roofs. Because of their minimal slope, flat roofs must be covered by a material that allows water to run off freely to prevent leakage. Traditionally flat roofs have used a tar-and-gravel based surface, but ice dams and freezing in colder climates such as the Northeast can block the flow of water. Modern flat roofs installed by Up and Above Contractors frequently utilize a continuous membrane covering which resists pooling. This type of roofing is known as single-ply membrane.

Single-ply membranes are strong, flexible sheets composed of plastic or rubber compounds. They are sealed at the seams for an excellent waterproofing solution for any commercial structure.  Here are some additional benefits of the single-ply roofing membrane.
• White and light colored reflective surfaces help reduce cooling costs.
• Single-ply roofing is highly resistant to chemicals, fuels, UV rays and more.
• Long service life.
• Economical and cost-effective.

Up and Above Contractors is a New Jersey flat roofing specialist, using products and materials from Flex Roofing Systems and IB Roof System, leading manufacturers of single-ply roofing membranes. If you are interested in this material for your business or even a residence, call us today at (973) 300-0636 for a FREE consultation and estimate.
